The ball is in the Jacksonville Jaguars court after Lot J vote

The Jacksonville Jaguars city council voted down the Lot J project. Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan is left reeling as to his next move. In the season of turmoil, politically and socially, Lot J was probably doomed from its very beginning.

Billionaire Khan repeatedly talked about Lot J would help stabilize the Jaguars franchise. The London games were scrapped because of the Covid pandemic. Who knows when the NFL renews the London games?

Honestly, Khan should explore all his options within the Jacksonville surrounding area. He could personally finance a new stadium or purchase an existing one and remodel it for the 21st-century fans. It has been decades since the Dallas Cowboys have played a game inside the Dallas city limits.

If Khan would move out of TIAA Bank Stadium to St. Augustine, there would be plenty of lands to develop near the World Golf Village area. Khan could reap greater benefits than staying within the Jacksonville downtown area. The ball is in his court.

Urban Meyer has become the next Jaguars head coach. Trevor Lawrence is all but in a Jaguars uniform. The Jaguars re-set is not fully complete without a new stadium and new direction.
