Jacksonville plays their season finale against Indianapolis on the road. Philip Rivers will be making a final push for an Indianapolis playoff berth. They have to win but Jacksonville has no more pressure to lose. Should the Jaguars win and the NY Jets lose, they would alternate with the first pick of each round.
Most of all, Trevor Lawrence is within sight. It has been many years since Jacksonville has had their franchise quarterback. The Jaguars have to build around him. They have to protect him!
Currently, Jacksonville is interviewing GM candidates. Urban Meyer is a name tossed around as a potential head coach. Dabo Swinney is another potential hire. Let’s see what Shad Khan does following the season ending game Sunday and beyond.
Expect the Indianapolis rushing attack to exploit the weak front seven of the Jaguars defense. Myles Jack can not make every tackle. Rivers will pepper the Jacksonville secondary with play action passes. Indianapolis will win this game easily and then root for a Houston win over Tennessee.
The exciting playoff run of 2017 is all but a distant memory. It’s time to make changes now and prepare for future successes. Be sure to catch the current JJC podcast where Andre Moultry accurately discusses the Jaguars situation in each podcast episode.
