The Jacksonville Jaguars defense have a huge challenge when Derrick Henry and the Tennessee Titans come to town on Sunday. Henry leads the NFL in rushing with 1,317 yards. Jaguars fans will have to hold their breath each time Henry gets the ball. Why? Remember his 99-yard gallop for a crushing touchdown a few seasons ago?
The Jaguars defense has improved throughout the season but remains a very porous squad. Currently, they have allowed the NFL’s most: 4,992 total yards. Tennessee will look to get Henry the ball early to pound away at the Jacksonville front seven. Look for Ryan Tannehill to blitz Jacksonville with play-action passes to their talented receiving corps.
Doug Marrone will start Mike Glennon again on Sunday at quarterback. The Jaguars head coach announced last Sunday’s loss. Marrone explained that Glennon gives the team the best chance to win.
Honestly, after eleven straight losses, would you want to go on a winning streak to wreck your draft status? Fans always cheer for their team to win each game. Is a win in December worth the regret on draft day?
Everything rises and falls on leadership. It is very difficult to understand the rapid decline of this organization. From playing for a trip to the Super Bowl in 2017 to 1-11 today, should late-season victories save Marrone’s job?
There will be a new general manager in 2021. Trent Baalke is the interim general manager. Is it possible that Baalke gets the job permanently or will Shad Khan look elsewhere?
On Sunday, Henry gets close to 175 yards rushing as the Titans roll. Jaguars lose their twelfth consecutive game. Why would you think otherwise?
